    Creation of the Technology and Digital Services Management team

    Cbp reorganised its departments in order to create the Technology and Digital Services department (DTD) in February 2017. Our teams are now organised into product teams, in order to better meet the needs of our end customers. The benefit of this organisational structure is that new developments in IT products can now be delivered faster All contributors to the same “product” are now working together, physically side by side, making the teams more efficient, more agile and more independent.

    Cbp holds its first ever TedX! 5 projects in 5 pitches, delivered by our employees!

    During our traditional end-of-year celebrations, 5 pairs of employees presented the highlight projects from 2016 that will bring success in 2017, with a 5-minute time limit. Based on the popular TEDx format, our staff teams took to the stage to present each initiative. With the event hosted by C.E.O Yves Gangloff, the Cbp teams took on the challenge with aplomb.

    Cbp celebrates 25 years in business

    Today, Cbp has over 700 employees all over Europe. This represents a new step for Cbp, which in 2016 was recognised as one of the major employers in the Nantes region. The company was ranked 70th in the overall list of largest companies in the Pays de la Loire region based on headcount (source: CCi Nantes – Saint-Nazaire, February 2017).

    The company celebrated 25 years in business on September 6th 2016, at one of Nantes’ most iconic venues: Les Machines de l’Ile.

    Our first Managerial Academy

    Called the “Académie des Colibris (Hummingbird academy)“, this group brings together 19 managers, and focuses on collaborative and innovative methodologies. The group’s activities are led by a permanent external consultant, with high-level guest presenters chosen for their unique talents and expertise on various topics based around the idea of the “manager of tomorrow”, and when their teams and environments will look like. Using collaborative methods, managers become part of a progressive approach that allows them to respond to the everyday challenges of the workplace.

    The second class of the Managerial Academy began their “school year” in September 2016.

    New affiliate established in Poland

    Headed by Jaroslaw Ciszewski, the development of our Polish affiliate is extremely promising due to this market’s strong potential. The country boasts a solid banking network in which financial products are distributed via networks of highly dynamic independent brokers. The mid-term growth rate has been upheld, paving the way for stable business growth for Cbp in Poland.

    The Fully Digital insurance contract

    Supplementing the traditional paper-based process, Cbp now offers its clients a 100% digital pathway throughout the duration of their insurance contract. Claims can now be made online thanks to new functionalities in the policyholder zone.

    CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PROCESS

    Our company is constantly engaged in a process of continuous improvement, offering employees new tools for collaboration and visual management. With these methods, each employee becomes an active participant in change processes within the company. This initiative to improve procedures aims to make performance consistently more efficient for client satisfaction, both internally and externally.

    Once their file has been assessed, the client is given the news in real time (via SMS) that their policy has been validated.

    With a network of 1,700 banks and financial institutions, Germany has been a source of new market opportunities for Cbp since 2014.

    Health questionnaire via tablet

    Policyholders can now choose to fill out their health questionnaire on paper or via a simpler, faster digital format.

    CSR Initiative

    Started in 2012, the CSR initiative is operated by a Sustainable Development committee, made up of volunteer employees. In 2017, the company is focusing on environmental protection by reducing our water and electricity consumption, and increasing efforts to sort and recycle waste.  An educational vegetable garden is also being planted!

    Creation of a remote auditing button

    In response to the requirements of the Solvency II directive, Cbp rolled out a new “audit button” via its online platform for insurers, allowing them to carry out audits remotely.

    New HQ in Saint-Herblain

    Cbp established its new company HQ in Saint-Herblain in 2012. A hub of expertise with 10,000m² of office space, the head office houses all our staff on a central site.

    Policyholders can now register their insurance policy online. The process is made possible via the use of electronic signatures.

    The year Cbp rolled out a tool for insurers to validate online applications.

    New business in Italy

    With operations in Italy since 2008, Cbp has been able to take advantage of opportunities in the Italian market, and is now partnered with the country’s major financial institutions. The Italian branch offers its partners a wide range of products with support from its commercial and actuarial teams. Today, Cbp Italia distinguishes itself on the market thanks to its quality procedures and  accredited expertise in facilitating discussions and negotiations between distributors and companies.

    Cbp creates and introduces its first multi-insurance sales tool to its partners.

    New affiliate established in Spain

    Cbp España becomes the first European affiliate of the Cbp Group. Located in Barcelona and Madrid, but also in Lisbon in Portugal, it is now the benchmark for our European operations.

    Cbp launches the Normalis insurance range. Aimed at large investments, the Normalis insurance product range is a high-end solution for private or professional  loan protection insurance.

    Creation of a call centre with 8 staff

    In order to respond to the needs of our policyholders and partners, the first Cbp call centre is founded.

    IT services centralised with IBM

    Using mono-chrome display screens, this phase of centralising the company’s IT services also marked the launch of personal protection cover in Cbp services.

    Foundation of the company

    Developed within a large brokerage firm in Nantes, a new arm of the business specialising in personal protection insurance was launched in the form of a start-up. Managed by Hubert Guillard, along with several employees working from an apartment in Nantes, the Company grew quickly thanks to its dynamic and creative teams.

    Its goal: to become the leading name in loan protection insurance.
